THE 3 DAY ITINERARY FOR GUAM YOU MUST CHECK OUT

Can’t decide where to start or what to do in Guam’s abundance of natural beauty, pristine beaches, fun water and land activities including eating and shopping? Well, we’ve got you covered with our guide to the most popular choices in Guam – for a reason.

Day 1: Morning – Warm up poolside or beachside in Guam

No need to start fast, Guam is all about taking is slow. We recommend taking full advantage of Guam’s warm climate and sunshine with some leisure time poolside or beachside, and if you are staying at Crowne Plaza Resort Guam then you can have both, at our stunning beachfront location on Tumon Bay. Take a swim, read a book, and have a fresh drink whilst taking in the view. Infinity Bar at our resort is well-positioned for fantastic views, has a fabulous drinks list and light meals too, and is open to guests and the general public.

Day 1: Afternoon – Guam shopping & Chamorro Village market

One of the most popular shopping spots in Guam for tourists is Guam Premier Outlets (aka GPO). It’s also easy to get to from Crowne Plaza Resort Guam, by crossing the road to Tumon Sands Plaza and catching the free shuttle service to GPO. What you’ll find here is lots of U.S. designer brands at great prices. There’s also a great bookshop and a cinema (just in case you get caught on a rainy day), otherwise head straight to Chamorro Village Market for culture, food, and fun.

Chamorro Village is where locals and tourists come together in a splendor of local food and culture. The market is open every day until 10:30 pm, but Wednesday is the main night you want to catch if you can. If you are peckish, then you are in luck, with lots of Chamorro cuisine at your fingertips to try. The style is casual, and the food inexpensive, so be adventurous and pick up a few items to taste. We highly recommend the ‘Chicken Kalaguen’ with its spicy lemony coconut flavors and ‘Latiya’ vanilla custard sponge cake. Otherwise ‘Bunelos Aga’ banana donuts are pretty amazing too! Also at the market, usually Wednesday night, you’ll have the opportunity to ride a ‘Carabao’ (water buffalo) and pet a giant Coconut Crab that stretches up to 3ft long and can weigh up to 9lbs.

Check our other available blogs dedicated to shopping and local food in Guam for more detailed information.

Day 2: Morning – A snorkel or a dive into Guam’s marine life

It would not be a complete trip to Guam if you didn’t take the opportunity to see one of the most incredible destinations for snorkeling and diving worldwide. Guam’s coral reefs and tropical fish in blazing colors will reinspire you as to what’s possible, and help you to forget your worries, or at least leave them behind above water.

For less confident swimmers who prefer shallower waters, we recommend Tumon Bay, a popular snorkeling site conveniently located by Crowne Plaza Resort Guam, or Ypao Beach only a 15-20 minute walk to the south of our resort. For more advanced swimmers and snorkelers, Gun Beach is highly recommended, and for the more adventurous, snorkeling at Coral Gardens can be matched with kayaking, and Shark’s Cove has a fabulous hike. Check our complete snorkeling guide here.

Unless you are qualified, dives are best completed through an organised tour. The Blue Hole is the stand-out diving site in Guam, though also popular are the Tokai Maru and SMS Cormoran wreck site located in Apra Harbour.

Day 2: Afternoon – Many fun water activities to choose in Guam

Finish your day staying above the water, choosing from a long list of water activities available to be enjoyed along Guam’s coastline. At the doorstep of Crowne Plaza Resort Guam, on stunning Tumon Bay, choose from non-motorised activities such as dreaming away on a float, or working some muscle kayaking, paddle boating, and standup paddleboarding. For more fast and furious activities, such as bananaboating or jet skiing, or dolphin watching tours are held on Agana Bay. Get an overview of the popular activities on offer here.

For dinner, join us at Crowne Plaza Resort Guam’s Cabana Sunset Dinner Show, featuring Korean Style BBQ and Magic Show. It’s sure to be a great night for all ages, so make sure to book ahead!

Day 3: Morning – Visit Underwater World in Guam

For some time out of the sun, visit Guam’s Underwater World, which has one of the longest tunnel aquariums in the world. Here you’ll see scuba divers feeding the sharks and some of the biggest stingrays you have ever seen. If you wanted to return for dinner, Underwater World also offers Guam’s most unique dining experiences. In the evenings the underwater glass tunnel is turned into a restaurant that features a live show of gliding fish, sharks, and sea turtles. Fun for kids and adults alike!

Day 3: Afternoon – Two Lover’s Point Lookout

As the grand finale to your Guam vacation we recommend heading to one of the best lookouts in Guam, Two Lover’s Point, named after a local legend of true love. This romantic spot provides a stunning aerial view of Tumon Beach and beyond. Stay for the incredible sunset and add your names to the wall of love locks. If you have some time before sunset, you could visit nearby Tanguisson Beach or Gun Beach before arriving at Two Lover’s Point.
